Premier Auditions
Premier is our elite youth performance group. This group is for the serious performer with previous training, a strong work ethic, and a positive and friendly attitude. Students will rehearse once a week during the Leg Up Semester. They will learn a repertoire of songs and perform at various events in the city.
Entry is by audition or invitation only. There is a semester fee associated with participation. Ages 10-18 yrs (18 yr olds must be in high school).
Expectations
Regular attendance at rehearsals and performances. 3 absences require a disciplinary meeting with the Premier instructors to determine action.
Students not currently working on a Wonder Theatre Academy production must be enrolled in at least one Wonder Theatre Leg Up class or private lessons with a Wonder Theatre instructor.
Bullying and misconduct are not tolerated in this organization. If a student exhibits these behaviors they will get 2 warnings before being removed from Premier.
Auditions will be held in conjunction with Into the Woods: Teen and High School Musical Jr.
If you plan on auditioning for either of these shows, you will sign up and prepare in accordance with the instructions for the show/s you are auditioning for. On the day of auditions, there will be a section on your audition form to indicate you would like to be considered for Premier.
If you are not auditioning for either of these shows but would still like to be considered for Premier; sign up for either audition day. On the day of auditions, there will be a section on your audition form to indicate you would like to be considered for Premier.
Students must prepare 16-bar cuts from TWO contrasting songs to sing. Students MUST bring sheet music. We will provide a piano accompanist.
Students will be asked to learn a short dance combination. Please dress to move. If you have dance shoes please bring them. If not, be prepared to dance in socks.
